Directions to Calistoga Castle from Napa Valley - Castello di Amorosa

Nearly two thirds of this castle is actually below ground, so carefully examine everything you can see in any section.

Finally, it's onto the wine tasting and if you're a wine lover, my two cents says nab the upgraded tasting – well worth it.  Whites, reds and dolce (sweet, desert wines).

The wines will trickle over your tongue, responding to your personal taste buds, and the mixture of modern and traditional winemaking is superb!  Thank you Daryl.

I do wish this tour were longer, as there is more to savor than time.  However, if you're looking for a vision of Tuscany, in small town Calistoga, complete with some of the world's most unique wines; run, don't walk, or you could arrive by horse and carriage to Castello di Amorosa!

Location:  4045 St. Helena Highway, just south of Calistoga, Napa Valley. 

Directions:  If you are coming from Calistoga, head South on Highway 29, and turn right immediately after Maple Lane.  Don't blink or you'll miss the entrance.  The Castle is about 2 miles South of Calistoga. If you are coming from St. Helena or Napa, turn left at the castle sign about 5.2 miles after you pass through St. Helena.
