There are those that even prefer to spend the holidays in a tub of mud and away from the madding crowds, Many local restaurants also go all out to offer the perfect Thanksgiving meal, so make your reservations early.

While the weather may be somewhat unpredictable in November, it is only so by California standard.  Those of you coming from the east, for example will no doubt just smile when a local tells you how cold it is when the temperature hits a cold 50 at night.  One thing is certain, you will not need to worry much about outer clothing during this time; at most, a cotton sweater should be sufficient.

If the weather turns rainy in November, you will have a perfect time to get a little Christmas shopping done while in the Wine Country, The Napa Premium Outlet stores always offer a great selection at this time of year. However, if you want something out of the ordinary or maybe even one of a kind, check out the shops in Calistoga. One of the nicest things about shopping in Calistoga is that all it takes is a good walk to get you around. Most of the shops, galleries and boutiques are within a three-block area along Lincoln Avenue. It is also convenient to stop for a bite to eat along the way, as there are plenty of restaurants of all types dotting Lincoln Avenue.

Whatever the weather, come on up.  We’re waiting for you!
