in the Wine Country holds a hint of spring in the air. There are
also some long holiday weekends that are perfect for that winter
getaway. The Napa Valley is one of the most popular Valentine’s
Day destinations. What better place to take you sweetheart then
to the Wine Country for wine tasting, spa treatments and fantastic
food. You will be able to find many specials catering to couples
as well as some of that ‘alone time’
you know you both need. Surprise your true love
with a romantic February escape.
In the town of Napa, the average temperature in February is 50 degrees, while the average high is 62 degrees and the average low temperature is 37 degrees. The average rainfall for February is 3.9 inches. Temperatures and rainfall in Yountville and Oakville, several miles north of Napa, would be roughly the same as in Napa.
In February, the average temperature in Calistoga is 50 degrees, the average high is 62, and the average low is 38 degrees. The average rainfall in Calistoga for February is 5.9 inches. These figures reflect a close approximation to those in St. Helena, just eight miles south of Calistoga.
Because February is in the middle of Napa Valley’s rainy season, be sure to bring a raincoat on your trip to Napa. However, February has been notoriously unpredictable in recent years. In 2006, for example, Napa experienced a very dry February, after substantial rains in December and January. February 2006 rainfall totaled just 2.95 inches, substantially less than normal. February also usually sees some surprisingly high temperatures. In February 2006 for example, the temperature broke 70 degrees in Napa during five days of the month.
