Jim and Beth Summers’ passion as wine grape
growers began with the purchase of the Summers Ranch, Knight’s
Valley Vineyard. The gently sloping, valley vineyard is currently
home to 28 acres of 30 year old Merlot vines and newly planted
Cabernet Sauvignon vines. The property is located on Highway 128
just 4 miles north of historic Calistoga, California.
In early 1996 Jim and Beth acquired ownership of the San Pietro Vara Winery located at 1171 Tubbs Lane, just north of the city limits of Calistoga. This Napa Valley property was renamed Summers Winery and in honor of the Summers daughter, Andriana, the vineyard was named Villa Andriana. Villa Andriana consists of 22 acres, with 7 acres planted to Charbono, 3 acres planted to Zinfandel and 12+ acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon.
In
September of 1997 Summers Winery at Villa Andriana opened its winery
and tasting room to the public. The grounds include a lovely picnic
area, bocce ball court and tasting room. Please come visit and
