Thanksgiving in Napa Valley
Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful day to eat out, whether you live in Napa Valley or are just coming up for a holiday getaway. Not surprisingly, most restaurants in Napa Valley are closed for Thanksgiving Day. Nevertheless, on Thanksgiving Day, a wide variety remain open, and almost all serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at a set price, that include Turkey and all the trimmings. In most places, there are usual vegetrian options, but be sure to confirm this with the restaurant.
Because Thanksgiving is such a popular day to dine out, advance reservations are strongly advised. Moreover, if you are planning to visit Napa Valley over the Thanksgiving weekend, and are planning to eat out on either Friday or Saturday, we strongly suggest that you make advance reservations, as the entire weekend is quite busy in the Valley. On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, things slow down considerably, and generally remain slow until the day after Christmas.

Calistoga Inn: 942-4101. Calistoga Inn is one of the most popular locations to have Thanksgiving in Napa Valley, and reservations tend to go quickly. They feature a very reasonably priced fixed menu, with several options for each course. If you happen to be from the east coast, the setting may remind you of a New England country Inn.

St. Helena Area Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving Day
Auberge Du Soleil: 963-1212. Auberge Du Soleil is set in one of the most romantic locations of Napa Valley, and offers an excellent Thanksgiving Meal. This is Relais & Chateau property, so be prepared to pay accordingly.

Meadowood: 963-2233. It is not to often that you can have the opportunity to have Thanksgiving Dinner at a three-star Michelin restaurant. The meal consists of seven-courses, and you have the option of adding wine pairings. The price is $225 for the dinner and $205 for the optional wine pairing.
