If you will be visiting wineries in Windsor, and wish to stay close to your destination, we would suggest that you consider staying in the towns of Santa Rosa or Healdsburg. Of the two, you will find that Santa Rosa is substantially larger, while Healdsburg, to the North, anchors the south end of the twenty-mile-long Alexander Valley. You might prefer to make the Napa Valley as your base, which is only a 30-minute drive from Windsor. Indeed, there are many options for affordable lodging in Calistoga, and our spa and resort, Golden Haven Hot Springs offers a variety of affordable spa and lodging packages.
From Windsor, you have a myriad of options for visiting other wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valley. For Sonoma options, we would recommend that you view the six winery tours listed on this page. And, if you are heading to Napa Valley, a world of possibilities awaits you—including five Napa Valley winery tours listed on this page
