Sonoma County Wineries:
Kenwood
Wineries and Wine Tasting
Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel grapes are the stars of the Sonoma Valley appellation, with the mighty Cabs growing in the steady sunlight above the fog line, and while other varieties are sheltered below, thriving in long growing seasons at lower temperatures.
Kenwood Vineyards owns the lava-terraced vineyards on the London ranch. Their Cabernets, Zinfandel and Merlots are beloved for their minty, zesty, berry flavors. On their dramatic label is a replica of the wolf's head depicted on London’s bookplates. I you wish to take a self-guided winery tour of the Valley of the Moon/ Kenwood area, click here.
In addition to Kenwood Vineyards, there are several other vineyards that are open to the public in the Kenwood area, which is less than 10 miles from the town of Sonoma. It is always best to call ahead to confirm that the winery will be open on the day of your planned visit.
