It is cool outside and all the leaves have turned the marvelous colors of a burning fire. Fall may just be the most beautiful time of the year to come to the Napa Valley and visit our little town of Calistoga. Fall is a perfect time to escape from your fast pace city life to a small quiet town. Things slow down just a bit from the summer months, and with the wine harvest in full swing, Napa Valley is truly at its best.
The weather in September through mid October is very summer-like. The average temperature in October is 80 degrees with nights in the upper 40's and 50's. September and October often has periods where temperatures reach into the 90’s during the day.
When you come to the Napa Valley you will most likely want to sample some our world famous wines. A great way to do that would be to take a ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train. You get to taste some of the most decadent wine and a mouth-watering meal made fresh on the train by award winning culinary staff. You have the best of both worlds on the wine train. You get to see the gorgeous Napa Valley while you eat, drink, and relax. It is so peaceful to sit back, and look at all the beautiful colors while drinking some wine.
