During the frosty winter you should go somewhere that is set back from the city lifestyle and always welcomes you with open arms. Calistoga is a warm and inviting place even when it is snowing outside—(and yes, it does snow a trace here, about every 5 years or so). If you are coming from the East or Midwest, you will be delighted to know that in the winter our daytime temperatures are usually over 50. Temperatures rarely go below freezing, and the warmest clothing you will usually need is a sweater and a raincoat.
If you can come to the Napa Valley in the Winter, it may become your favorite time to visit the wine country as the traffic is usually the lightest, and many hotels feature excellent discount specials. Moreover, after all of the excitement of the holidays we need to take some time for ourselves. Calistoga is the perfect place where you can do what you want when you want and spend as much money on yourself as you possibly can and not feel guilty about it.
There is a wide variety of things that you can do while you are spending your winter vacation in Calistoga.
