To experience the work of many local artisans, head to Main Element. This is a very upscale shop on Lincoln Avenue where you’ll find very unusual and one-of-a-kind home furnishings, accessories and décor. It’s a Napa Valley art shop that is both high-end and whimsical at the same time. Many of the pieces are functional – like the colorful, fish-shaped serving tray designed by Karen Ehart. You’ll also find an assortment of other interesting kitchen items, custom-made lamps, and comfy but beautiful chairs. Some of them are limited edition. You’ll also find purely decorative objects d’art, such as simulated flower vases featuring psychedelic fake flowers. Look for great sale items in the back of the store.
Here you’ll find the work of painters, sculptors and many others. For those looking for wall decoration, there are plenty of great acrylic paintings. Many of these feature local landscapes, such as vineyards.
Main Element was established in 2001 in Napa; the Calistoga location is the newer of the galleries. Their goal has always been to provide customers with an avenue to enrich their lives with great art and outstanding home furnishings. They call themselves an "Art and Home Gallery.” Main Element is always packed with artist's originals, limited editions, handcrafted jewelry, hand forged furniture, art glass, and hand-blown stemware, as well as a variety of unforgettable gifts.
