Jeff and Sally Manfredi have owned and operated Calistoga Pottery since 1980. They have taken great pleasure in making functional tableware. Their work can be found in use locally at restaurants (Tra Vigne, Mustards, Cook), wineries (Mondavi, Robert Pecota, Hall, BV, Whitehall Lane), inns (Wine Way Inn, Foothill House, Brannan Cottage Inn) and homes. Their pots have appeared on the covers of Wine Country Living, Fine Cooking and NapaStyle catalog.
The pottery is made for using with food. It is microwave and dishwasher safe and lead-free. The shapes are simple and the glazes rich. Each piece is a collaborative effort: Jeff throws the pots and Sally glazes them.
The retail shop (behind the house) is open daily from 11-5. It is located on Highway 29 a block south of Calistoga’s main street (on the hill side). A walk up the driveway will generally find both potters at work. The retail shop adjoins the studio so it’s possible to see the work in all stages of progress. All major credit cards accepted, shipping available.
