VALLEY BLUES FESTIVAL: This annual event will be held
on October
7th and 8th 2006 in downtown Calistoga. Experience a great American
music tradition and pair it with some small town charm. Special
events are scheduled on Saturday night while Sunday offers the
annual Street Fair and Blues Concert celebrating the Grape Crush
and featuring local wines and tasty treats. This event has become
extremely popular and well attended, attracting some great blues
musicians and, of course, the Napa Valley's best wines. For information

- RUN WITH THE GIRAFFES BUT AWAY FROM THE CHEETAHS: On
October 15th 2006 don?t miss this annual event at Safari West
just north of Calistoga. This is the 2nd annual 5k Run/Walk,
which features up close and
personal views of exotic animals in their natural setting. The
proceeds go to the Safari West Wildlife Foundation and will be
used specifically to help underprivileged schools enjoys field
trips so children can see these beautiful animals and develop
an awareness for conservation and beauty. For more information

- HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES: October would not
be complete without the
annual Halloween Parade down Calistoga's Lincoln Avenue and a
visit to
Calistoga's own Haunted House. There is a horse drawn ghost tour,
face
painting, palm reading and much more. Bring the whole family
and enjoy
all the spooky fun. The parade is on Halloween evening at 6PM
and the
Haunted House is open on the 29th and 30th. For more information
