Napa Valley November Events
- Calistoga Jazz and Blues Festival: This
annual event is held November 7-8, 2009 in downtown Calistoga.
Experience a great American music tradition and pair it with
some small town charm. This event has become extremely popular
and well attended, attracting some great musicians and, of course,
the Napa Valley's best wines. For information call (707) 942-6333.
- A NapaValley Thanksgiving: November
invariably brings visions of holiday hustle and bustle and with
it a fair amount of stress. Why not change your yearly routine
and spend Thanksgiving in the tranquil capital of the Napa Valley,
Calistoga. Lodging and spa packages are just the thing for a
little pre-holiday getaway stress reliever. Many of the restaurants
in Calistoga also go all out on Thanksgiving Day and offer feasts
fit for Kings, Queens and all the rest! For a list of restaurants
open on Thanksgiving day, click

some Calistoga spa treatments during Thanksgiving weekends, check
out the great specials that Golden Haven offers throughout the
holiday weekend.
- 18th Annual Festival of Lights: In November,
experience this wonderful holiday celebration featuring food,
wine, crafts and entertainment in the delightful village of Yountville,
CA. There are carriage rides, Christmas carolers and, of course,
Santa Claus. Washington Street will be brightly twinkling with
thousands of white lights, beckoning all to come start their
holiday celebration. The shops in Vintage 1870 will be open until
8 PM for holiday shopping. For more information call the Yountville
Chamber of Commerce at (707) 944-0904.
- Come Spit on Our Floor Barrel Tasting: At
Merryvale Winery in St Helena experience a Wine Country tradition
on the second Saturday of the month. This is a rare opportunity
to experience the evolution of certain wines from barrel to bottle.
You will sample wines ‘in progress’ directly from
the barrel as well as later vintages of bottled wines from similar
harvests. By the way, it is customary to spit on the floor at
a barrel tasting! Visit http://www.merryvale.com/ for
more information.
