Let’s
face it, the Napa Valley is an expensive place to visit, but it
is worth it. There are so many wonderful things to experience,
and if you are like me, you are going to want to spend your money
on enjoying the great activities that we offer. If you are
going to be on a tight budget during your Napa Valley vacation,
you will need to keep your meal expenses within reason. You
are probably going to want to spend some money at the wineries,
perhaps take a balloon ride, and surely enjoy one of our spas.
So, I am going to give you a few pointers on where you can go to
have a delicious meal in Napa Valley without having to spend all
of your vacation money. I am most familiar with the restaurant
up valley, and I am going to focus on the towns of Calistoga and
Napa.
While you are visiting Calistoga there are some great hotspots where you can go and sit down for your meal or take it out to the park for a picnic. The great thing about eating in our small town of Calistoga is that you really can’t go wrong. We are blessed with good food!
If you are looking for a great deli that makes delicious sandwiches just the way you like, Cal-Mart Deli is the place to go. Cal-Mart is our only grocery stores here in Calistoga. It is located at 1491 Lincoln Avenue, right on the Main Street in Downtown. They have a wide variety of meats, breads, and assorted goodies for sandwiches and wraps. They also just recently went through a major remodel and added a section for pre-made hot food. You can get a delicious lunch for under $10.00 that is ready to go with you on whatever adventures you have planned for the day. You can call in your order before you arrive at the store so it is ready for you without delay at (707) 942-9686.
The Calistoga Roastery is a perfect place for breakfast or lunch. They have a wide variety of tea and coffee, as well as delicious healthy breakfasts like muffins, fruit, and bagels. The lunches they have are to die for! I highly recommend the Veggie Head Sandwich it is a healthy mouth-watering meal that will leave you feeling refreshed. Whichever meal you decide on whether it is breakfast or lunch you can get it for under $10.00. If you don’t feel like sitting inside and eating your meal or drinking your drink you can call ahead at (707) 942-5757. They are located on the Main Street of Calistoga you can find them at 1426 Lincoln Avenue. You will not be disappointed.
Another scrumptious place you can go to dine in or out would be Buster’s Barbecue & Bakery. This is a perfect place to go if you love barbeque. They cook everything right there on site where you can watch Buster hard at work. They have fantastic milk shakes and coffee drinks as well as lots of meat. For $8.00 you can enjoy a tasty sandwich with a side dish that will not leave you feeling hungry. And for under $10.00 you can enjoy a dinner that includes a sandwich with 2 side dishes.
