place that offers a wide variety of food at killer prices is Nicola’s
Deli & Pizzeria. They offer pretty much everything that you
want from hamburgers to pizza, breakfast to dinner. You get
a lot of food for your dollar, and you will leave feeling stuffed.
For under $8.00 you can enjoy a delicious hardy breakfast that
will leave you full for the rest of the day, or you can get something
hot off the grill that comes with french fries for under $6.00.
This is a great hotspot that will not take all of your money. You
can sit back enjoy your feast and watch T.V. or call in your order
to go at (707) 942-6272. Don’t expect anything fancy,
just decent food at great prices. They are located
right in Downtown Calistoga at 1359 Lincoln Avenue.
If you are in the mood for some great Italian food that has a reasonable price I would definitely recommend Boskos Trattoria. Boskos has a warm and cozy atmosphere, and has amazing food. It is definitely the most “upscale” place in this review, but the prices are very reasonable. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go for lunch. You can have a tasty lunch for $8.00 that consists of a half sandwich with a cup of soup or salad, and for under $15.00 you can enjoy a more substantial meal of pasta or pizza. You will not leave hungry and you will still have plenty of money in your wallet.
You can never go wrong with Mexican food and here in Calistoga we have quite a selection, so it’s hard to make a choice. Puerto Vallarta is a great place where you can eat as much as your stomach will let you and still have money left afterwards. They are located right next to Cal-Mart grocery store at 1473 Lincoln Avenue in Calistoga. You can sit inside and enjoy your meal or sit outside on the spacious patio. You can come to Puerto Vallarta for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and leave satisfied. For under $9.00 you can get a combination plate with 3 items and it comes with rice and beans. You could even get an appetizer and a burrito for $11.00.You will be stuffed!
While you are in St. Helena there are a couple great places where you can get a delicious meal without spending your savings. A very popular local place for take out food would be Sunshine Foods Market. They are located 1115 Main Street in St. Helena. It is healthy and appetizing. There is a wide variety of food that you can choose from and depending on what kind of sandwich you are looking for, you don’t have to spend more than $10.00 for lunch here. Once you have received your food you can take it to one of St. Helena’s park and enjoy your lunch under the trees. You can walk in and order your lunch or you can call it in a head of time at (707) 963-7070.
Right down the street from Sunshine Foods is Taylor’s Automatic Refresher; they are located at 933 Main Street. You can get a delicious burger of your choice and french fries or onion rings for $10.00. You will be so full and satisfied when you finished you won’t want to move. They also offer more than just burgers they have seafood, soup, and salads. You can call it in and order ahead of time at (707) 963-3486. I recommend calling it in if you are in a hurry. Taylor’s is a hotspot and all of the locals love to go there.
Another great spot to go in St. Helena for some mouth-watering Mexican food would be Villa Corona. It is located at 1138 Main Street in St. Helena. You can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner here for a reasonable price. For under $8.00 you can get a delicious breakfast that will hold you over until dinner, or you can get a giant burrito for under $7.00 that will hold you over until breakfast. They have a wide variety of different types of plates you can get and burritos, the choice is yours and you won’t be disappointed.
